This album is a collection of songs that were written primarily by Darren Motamedy and Damascus Bradford. Damascus was my student from his 6th grade through 8th grade year. Much of what I would teach was based on helping my students prepare for a professional life as a musician. Johnnie Biel was my private teacher when I was 11 years old. He taught me skills such as transposing, sight reading, intonation, and spirituality. I wanted to pass those skills onto my kids, even though I knew most of them would never become "Pros". Damascus and I would spend many days after school just jamming for fun. One day, we decided to actually write a complete song, and the rest is history. The band is "Just Some Kids From School"

Soothe is a collection of compositions that I created from May 2025 through May 2026. My goal was to write a song a day, however.....that lasted two days! My goal was completed though as I ended up composing, mixing, and mastering 12 new songs in less than a year! Soothes compositions seamlessly move from one song to the next, creating a magical musical journey.

Traditional Jazz and Jazz Standards are a huge influence on me. Artists such as Dexter Gordon, James Moody, Sonny Stitt, Chet Baker, Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie are just a few of the artists that created the Be-Bop and Jazz Standard style. I wrote much of Distant during the Pandemic, thus, the title "DISTANT". If you are looking for nice chill music this is it for you.
